I was out taking shots of cormorants, but when I got home I discovered something else in the water. On the right of this photo towards the bottom are two very large turtles. At the time I thought they were logs so I didn't focus in on them. The mud turtles around them are very large for being mud turtles, so that makes these two even more mysterious.
This is a spring fed fresh water lake. I know there are snappers out there, but the one looking at the camera looks to have a different kind of nose. Maybe I'm wrong on that? Too bad I didn't see them!! Sorry for the poor quality. My lens was stretched to the max as it was.
Does anyone know what kind of turtles these are? The flat backs .. longer nose ... and the one just behind it is a different color. Any help would be appreciated, and thank you in advance!
