I found a dealer of ebay selling receivers and he is located in the us, so shipping should be faster. Just thought i would post it up.

It better be real fast at that price! He's offering a single receiver for the price others are selling the complete set.

That price seems about right for a receiver only..

Here is one off eBay for 28.99AUD shipped (about 25USD)..

And a set of two receivers and trigger 69.99AUD

Guess you're looking in the wrong places. Complete sets for $29.90 are all over e-bay. Just a few:

i am sure this has been answered a million times... but

i want one flash on the camera, and one triggered through the rf602 off camera.

Do i need a sync port adaptor and cable? or is there a simpler way to do this?

I sent a message to hkyongnuophotoequipment to see if it was compatible with 580ex II, 420ex, and Canon 7D. He states they are not compatible with the 7D. Yet other ebay sellers state they are compatible with the 7D. Is this just misinformation with hkyongnuophotoequipment?

It's late and this thread has allot of pages, so to save me time from staying up late, can anyone confirm this works on the 7D? Is there a cable that needs to be used for the 7D?

Does the transmitter work well on the 7D?

They work great with the 7D. You need the Canon version of course though:

I have over 1500 shots with mine and not one mis fire. YES! they work great with the 7D . Just make sure you order the set for the 7D so you get the right cable for the 7D. I use them both with my 580 EXII and 430 EXII as well as a set of studio lights. I love the fact they wake up my speedlites .

Thanks. I just ordered the RF-602 w/3 receivers (external link) for my 7D. Now I can't wait.

I noticed that there is a kit that comes with stands (external link). Is this necessary or can I mount the receiver with the flash attached on a tripod? I couldn't find any photos of both sides of the transmitter and receiver

You'll have to ;) It'll be a few weeks...

The receiver has a threaded mounting hole in the bottom, it can be screwed onto a tripod. Consider buying some light stands with umbrella brackets down the road if you start enjoying this OCF business.

Thanks. Way ahead of you. I actually just placed an order at Adorama for..

- Savage 13' Heavy Duty air-cushioned light stand (external link). Based on a few reviews, it has a wide base. I just wished Adorama added the load limit and base diameter as one of it's specs, so it would be easier to compare.
- Photogenic 60" Eclipse umbrella (external link)
- Adorama Universal Swivel holder (external link)
