Just received the order today, which was placed Friday June 11, 2010 @10:33pm. Not bad, less than 2 weeks from placing the order to delivery to USA (Illinois). Now need to take photos.

The awesome thing is, I have an old Sunpak 4000AF, which I could never get to work properly on my 7D. It would only flash on the 2nd curtain, but I haven't even really messed with the camera's settings. I attached the receiver on it and then transmitter on the camera and the flash fires of on the first curtain. No messing necessary. Now I have 3 flashes; 580ex II, 420ex, & Sunpak 4000AF.

I just ordered a set of 1 Tx and 1 Rx, so now I am waiting on these and the 468 flash. They haven't shipped yet and its killing me :p

I just watched a video on youtube where he had the transmitter on a Rebel XT, then instead of remote triggering a flash, it was triggering his Nikon D1 (?) shutter. I suppose in some instances it would be cool to be taking a shot and have the other camera set up from a different angle and know that each shot was the same exact moment with the different view.

i've seen photographers do this at weddings. i thought it was pretty smart.

I'm looking to order a Alienbees setup which will consist of two AB800s and a ABR800. Would the RF-602 wireless system trigger the two AB800s and a ABR800?

Yes they will. But I would fire the ring from the pc port. The lil wire will be a lot less annoying than a wire and a reciever dangeling from it.

Would the alienbees setup be a good travel/on location setup? I don't have a studio so all I can do for now is on location shoots.

I think it more depends on what you will carry things in, than it does what equipment it is.

With a battery, everything is a pack/head. Technically they are monoblocks, but if they are attatched to a battery they are no different than a pack/head set up as far as convience to transport or set up. Organize your transport logistics and you will have no problems.

Just pulled the trigger on one of these with 3 receivers (yes I know I've only got one flash) thats shipped internally in Canada. Might get me over my mental hill of "can't be bothered with that damn cable again"

Used them to photograph a house today, for a client of mine. This was the result of two flashes used for fill light.

When I got my first set of these I didn't notice the 'C1', 'C3' markings, etc (on ebay listings). At first I thought they were different kits, but they seem to include the same exact components. What am I missing?
