Do it.. the resorts are beautiful :) many of the staff I encountered were in a similar position to you, who were there for the job and the benefits of being able to see the place.

I read stuff like this about my favorite animal:
http://en.wikipedia.org …e_National_Park_and_Idaho (external link)

And it almost makes me want to dump everything, buy the Canon 400mm Diffractive Optics f/4 IS USM (not an L, surprisingly), a gimbal head, pair of 1DM2N's and move to Yellowstone to photograph those awesome beasts.

My work has currently taken me to Australia, as my photography will give away. Home is many hours north by plane, somewhere in the exotic Far East ;) while it sounds like a great adventure, it wears off after a while and for this Christmas all I ask for is a 724ISL and the ability to go back and drink coffee with my crew back home :D

I can't go to links on my work computer but if you're referring to wolves they're not exactly popular in this part of the country.. they have done terrible things to the Elk and Buffalo population in Yellowstone and even in my mountains.. When they were contained and their populations monitored it wasn't soo bad but they have been allowed free reign the last half a dozen years or so and the results have been disastrous.. Even going to Yellowstone now as a casual tourists you will notice how much they have damaged the herds... Now, i'm not a shoot 'em dead kind of girl.. but, I don't believe that one kind of animal should be able to thrive at the expense of many others.. Yellowstone believes in being left as natural as it can.. part of me agrees with them.. If a fire is going to go through then there's probably a reason and the earth will repair itself but on the other side we have developed into a society that can repair and prevent some pretty terrible things from happening and i'm just not sure why we can't use all of the tools available to us to make wise decisions... but then I get started on the politicis of it which are best left alone...

It appears you should have been watching Ronnie Sr. Jr.'s signature....appears he has had a fire sale on a 5D. He has been wheeling and dealing yet again!

Good "almost morning," Wool. I hear things got a little toasty in your area. Still only property damage, I hope.

Howdy ~w....things are grand here...the forest service took over the fire at midnight...and by morning all was contained. Several houses suffered damage...but no total losses....the best news is no injuries to people or pets.

Local fire personnel are mopping up hot spots and the forest service crews have moved on to a fire about 45 minutes south of here that has gone wild...can't believe idiots are trying to burn stuff outside in weather like this...humidity is around 15% and winds gust to 50 mph....no rain in close to 3 weeks....DUH!

Sorry to hear of your keyboard issues....seems like it is always something. Guess you didn't get very relaxed.

Dumb folks.

Didn't sleep, really- but it was still a good evening. Talked to a former student for a bit and then the son and DIL who are making me grandma wu. Was a very nice visit. Decided I might just encourage little Bean to call me "wu."
I figure that then I can claim that he/she learned my name first since babies make such a sound early on. Bragging rights, you know! :)

Morning (technically it still is MORNING here) All.

Sari, maybe if you just limited yourself to one espresso (or latte or americano or something) a day? I could never get going w/o coffee and since it's minus some dangerous ingredients other day starters have (like pop) I've decided to stick with it. (Anyway, I'd be the queen of the Zombie Mambo, if I didn't...)
