Hi guys...just trying to get caught up on all your chat! Whew!
I have been a working fool for the past 2 weeks with another week to go... our hospital is running over with sick patients and we are all working over time. The bright side is that they are going to close us down for Christmas and New Years so I am willing to go for the trade off!

MAUREEN, HI!
(how's that for an enthusiastic greeting from old friends?)

Thanks Lisa. I've been yearning to jump into some of these conversations but no time:(
Today Islept 3 hours, got up and mopped floors and paid bills. I am working primarily nights but throwing in an occasional day shift... I feel really out of whack.

I can do it for one more week, I know I can, I think I can....

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

It does sound crazy! And I know how hard it is to balance everything and still "make" Christmas at home for everyone. It's almost over though and then you'll get to enjoy your family. Is everyone going to be at home this year?

Oh, I have to say that I've never heard of a hospital closing for Christmas...this is probably obvious but, what do they do with the patients that aren't ready to go home?

This is a private surgical hospital....on par with the Ritz! We just aren't schedueling anyone later than Dec 21st so all patients will be discharged by the 23rd:D

I am doing Christmas up at home this year...big dinner, all my kids and grandson, nieces, nephews, sister, bro-in-law. I worked last year and had Christmas at my sisters and daughters the years before so I am happy to have it at home.

Do you have an extensive collection? It's been years since I did any target shooting, although I do enjoy it.

Most of what I have left are long guns...I used to shoot trap and skeet competitively. Have several different side/side and over/under doubles. Have a few collectibles as well...including a National Wild Turkey Federation commemorative.

I only held on to 3 handguns...my Glock, a .41 magnum Smith & Wesson and a .380 auto.

Puddle's not online at the moment...just laying here reading, but he wanted to know the calibre of the glock...

My uncle is quite a fancier of the long guns, and has a room full of trophies to show for it. I, on the other hand, like handguns. I'd love to have a Glock for the durability.

Maureen your tree is lovely. I am putting mine up tomorrow. I can't wait...maybe it'll get me in the mood for the season!

We're doing dinner for everyone here this year...both kids will be home, parents, aunt/uncle...it'll be fun. I just need to start baking but it's SO hard when one diets to bake and NOT sample ;)

Sari, I AM SO proud of you for going and getting a tree and decorating! To quote our Aussie members, good-oh on you! Your tree is very pretty too!

How is the diet coming along, Permie? I'm still in a holding pattern at 136 pounds.

he says "nice piece".
He also says that if you want, he can show you photos of his rubber band gun...he says he only has a single barrel because I won't let him have rubber bands anyway...

Terrible. I'm eating right, exercising my buns off, every other day like clockwork and I gained two pounds. I don't get it....

I had to put a grip extension on it...my hands are too big, but I love the gun...so I went with the mod. Tell him he is probably better off that way!

Hey, we made bloody marys tonight...my first experience. Wodka is quite smooth actually.

Wool, he says "you're probably right...it's really hard to find a trigger guard for those clothes pin triggers..."
