So now, what's Wool? He can't be a flying monkey because I hate monkies...

Wool, just what are you? Perm doesn't like monkeys, but we do know where you can get their little outfits now, don't we? Too bad they didn't wear curly toed shoes.

I've been on to your tactics for some time now...but thanks for providing me with photographic proof! Your secret is as safe as it can be here.;)

Lets me put it this way......some go for long, heavy and very expensive lenses. I go for....well .....cunning. It's free and nothing to carry except a few light "props"..;)

Me too Sari...it was quite surreal.

Off to get some lunch kiddies...I rather expect I'll have some interesting reading when I come back...especially in view of Wu's last post ;)

Perhaps then you are familiar with Transit Road. Or you might have heard of the Aud...perhaps you can understand wings and beer while the Sabres kicked the 'Canes a$$es last Monday night!!!

You should try the mountains...not too hot...not too cold...Hendersonville hardly ever sees snow....

I know all about retired....50 and living the good life here for the past 5 years...retired as an employee of NY State.

Transit Road? You know Transit Road??

Familiar with the Transit Hill plaza? Ralph's Market IGA? ... Transit Hill Beauty Salon? by Rehm Road ....

WINGS?

Oh yes, as well as the personality substitute, heck it substitutes for tons of things around here...including the "I need comfort because I've decided to not buy gear until well after Christmas" substitue...

That is painful! I use alcohol for that!

Wool, you have such a refined palate where alchohol is concerned and then you tell me you drink pepsi (holy bleah, batman) for breakfast...I suppose you put catsup on eggs too...

*wanders by holding Heinz and 2 eggs* yeah? Someone calling my name?

You wouldn't believe what I've learned to eat with eggs either. Soft boil two eggs, crack 'em into a coffee cup saucer, pour thick black soya sauce on top of them, pepper, and slurp the whole mess down. Yes, I have been to strange places, and seen (and eaten) stranger things, but damn, it is good.

.. if I had a little bit more foresight this would be today's breakfast....

DAMN! I'm all out of black sauce!!

You sound like my son. MD is his idol...and he's like a berserker chipmonk when he drinks it...

Except when MD has no caffiene. (if there is a place that's close to eternity on earth, well.. it's where the MD has no caffiene and believe me it exists)

Heck yes....

as for pre retired ... what else can I call it when I am 48 and the wife wants me to have fun?

I got a life most guys dream about!

What are you going to call it.. Lcoholic of course! QUICK, while the going is good, buy more L! When you get tired of photography you can recycle the funds into other things (and we might even nail some cheap L)...

As for Transit Road....I have driven it from end to end on more than one occasion. Plus have stayed at some of the finer establishments there a time or two as well. My job required a lot of travel. So I was in the Buffalo area on a semi-regular basis.

I can tell you that I had wings at the Anchor Bar long before they were fashionable elsewhere. I am so tempted to order some from their website...just so I can have a taste of home.

Beef on Wick.....with fresh horseradish............ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh man....can't get Wick here....can't get good beef either...really...even the horseradish is a stretch sometimes....My old buddy Danny Wegman appreciates my visits to NY...I have to stock up on some of the staples.

Oh yeah....one last thing...I'm originally from a little wide spot in the road about 20 minutes south of Ithaca....

Anchor Bar? back when the entrance was in front and when you went in that big solid wood bar was on the left .... and dance floor was towards the back on the right ... and tables in the middle ...

Last time I ate there before it got known - I had a rib eye & fries ...

Back in the day - the best place to get horseradish was the Broadway market on the east side ... they used to ground up some fresh STRONG stuff!

The store and shopping center I mentioned belongs to my uncles brother ...

"L" Key .... ;)

Don't hold your breath waiting for any cheap "L"!

I am a packrat - IF I give up something - it's small and just a sacrificial lamb for something MUCH BIGGER! .... like a 500mm"L" IS ... and for that I might have to sell off my other toy to get one that big!

The stores are just a little ways north of Walden? I think I know where they are. The good news is...unless they tried to burn them down...I probably didn't have any official dealings with them.

And Holy Cow...it's a pimpmobile! Where is Ronnie Jr. Sr. when you need him???

Yes...there seem to be traces of evidence all over the place.

Surely you know the answer to that silly question.;)
