That is always a shock. You have my deepest sympathies. I lost a very close friend a few years ago, and to this day if I'm not paying attention, I'll get an impulse to call him on the phone to share some story or another. The realization has to sink in all over again.

Friends are special, and they really can't be replaced.

I'm not short. I'm concentrated awesome!

I was about to post my opinion in that thread but decided not to. Its the same al over. The discussion has been up so many times. Pro vs amateur/hobbyist.

I don't get why a good pro is afraid of the socalled wannabees that turn out rubbish (to use the OP's own words).

The best part comes in a later post when the OP comes clean and says "BTW...I'm not a professional either".

Wow! I have read about those - I guess they have a 9-foot wing span!

Their faces are as ugly as a Turkey Vulture - but their size sure makes up for it!

I'll have to root around in my Grand Canyon photos - they were flying around with some TVs as well. I may have some shots with both.

Lisa -- My sympathies.

I was just sorting through my e-mail address book this morning and saw I still had my wife's grandfather's address listed. He passed away about a year ago now. . . Winning his favor was as important as winning her parents' favor when we were first dating.
