Tell him why we didn't order Z Scott.

That way I'll know too!:oops:

Z costs more and the people who played with my "P" really liked it, so that is what they all got...

OK...then how do you adjust your grads?

Slide them up and down in the holder... Am I missing something big here?

Just wondered how far up and down you can move an 84mm filter on a 77mm lens. But I guess most of you aren't using these on the wide L glass.

I plan to use mine on 77mm lens (24-105) and 72 mm lens (200 2.8 ) .

Ahh - I see. I am using it on my Tammy (17-50) which is 67mm filter ring -- so I have no issues with the filter size. Puddle basically has the same setup, just a newer camera.

Later Riley!

I checked the spec sheet from where I bought the filters: 85 mm x 107 mm

So, is this going to work for me? (and for Perm - I'm sure she's planning on using it on the 24-105 as well).

I think it should work just fine... I have read of others using the same setup...

OK....with a 67 you have some play....I just wondered about Permie and Chris with 77mm rings. It will work ok on the 24-105 or any of the other 77mm lenses...just won't have much adjustment of the grad if you are splitting your sky other than 50/50. If you move it too far...you will get a distinct line from the edge of the filter. That is why I went with the Z series and 4x6 grads for more range of adjustment.

If you have 107mm on the grads...that should work ok...should give you more than enough range.

I plan to use mine on my 16-35 and all the stuff I read said to be sure to go with a Z and the 4x6 grads with that particular lens...especially on FF.

One day I plan on getting a better sets of grads and holders - but I was going in not knowing how much I would use them, so I decided to stick with something cheap and they haven't let me down...
