I don't profess to be an expert on color management. I just stick with srgb because it is seems to involve a lot less of the black magic voodoo that it seems some of the other stuff needs.

I'll spare you my usual rant. Just use the color space that your final output's going to use. There's no point in messing with something to get it just right and then have to convert it again. It's like doing your sharpening - sharpen when you're doing the final resize, not before.

Wool, thanks for pointing that out. I just picked up the test photos and they looked like crap.

Lightroom doesn't process in srgb (that's the whole frustration)...it uses adobe rgb or prophoto rgb to process but you can use srgb to export...hence the photos looking yellow. I cannot begin to tell you how frustrated I am with this blasted program.

no idea...I'll just export in srgb and try to adjust for the output visually until then...sigh.

or go back to aperture. (sadly lightroom has SO many more features though...groan)

The funny thing is Permie...I'm on a calibrated monitor and I don't see your sRGB shot as being far off.

I printed a couple of those and the prints look pretty good. It's just weird because they look so yellow on our screens (and I really have calibrated both our monitors...and those both look the same...too yellow). It's just weird. But the srgb prints themselves look good and the non-srgb look terrible so I switched it back and I'm going to have to figure out what to do next.

I'll re-do our machines and see if that helps.

do the non-srgb shots look off on your machine?
