You know...I'm kinda surprised that some twisted soul has not posted box and/or ducks on that thread (this is not to give you guys ideas...it's merely to say that I figured some warped soul would do it in response...)

Trust me...I debated posting a shot of a duck in a box!;) You are speaking blasphemy Permie...Ducks and boxes are a fine tradition...and this place is too young to be trying to overthrow tradition....

   Hey, you and Petkal are singing the same song (that's kinda weird actually)...you'd think that ducks and boxes are relics around here. I was simply suggesting that there are more interesting things to shoot for "I just bought a new....yadda yadda yadda"...

Hey Gearheads, I have a question. It's a simple question with only a simple answer needed.

I love my 10-22 lens on my 30D. If such a lens existed, what would the exact equivalent for the 5D be?

I know I should be able to figure this, but I'm having a dense week, remember?

16-35 wins that one...

You do realize that the term "shoot a duck" is really just a metaphor encouraging the proud new owner to get off their @$$ and take a picture with the new toy. Doesn't do any good sitting on a shelf! ;)

You know, as a metaphor, I TOTALLY agree with it

actually I even think (don't tell) ducks are pretty....but I'd just like to see people use some imagination to go along with the action of shooting, when they get new gear...even MDjak's blood coagulation things and a dead fire hydrant were more imaginative...kwim?

You're right...I bet he's using lightroom! It (the color) looks just like my shots...

Congrats! :D

All photographs are there to remind us of what we forget. In this - as in other ways - they are the opposite of paintings. Paintings record what the painter remembers. Because each one of us forgets different things, a photo more than a painting may change its meaning according to who is looking at it. ~John Berger
