'Allo - not sure how you all have time to keep up with this thread, and post every day - some of us have jobs to do.

What has happened to calicokat btw, haven't seen him around for a while (4 weeks) and his title says "calicokat is BANNED"...

Who said anything about keeping up? A quick scan of a few intervening pages and jump in where it's at when you join

Oh yes, and please tell me that tripod is a joke? I wouldn't trust my 20D+24-70 on it, never mind a longer lens! It looks like a trio of those old telescoping aerials with a tripod head.

That tripod exists. It's adequate for P&S, and a 350D and small lens WITHOUT the legs extended. I have one. Why the heck I have one I have no idea.

Erm, I guess I'd trust an XT with kit lens on it, but no more than that! Not everyone needs really heavyweight legs and head (and in fact, for many shooters on here, my tripod wouldn't stand up to the job), but even so - it just looks scary

But even if it can make it without falling doesn't mean it's stable. Perhaps for a P&S? I mean, if the tripod isn't stable with the camera on, then it's hardly doing its job.

Be careful! From what I've heard, the TF never gives a title you want, but one you don't want Now, it's not like the TF exists anyway

I dunno- I've liked the titles I have had. I have been blessed by the title fairy (who does exist, btw)

We have a long day ahead. We have to drive over to Ontario (CA), roughly 90 miles from here. We're picking up BIL at the airport, and Lois wants to hit half a dozen malls on the way.

I'm okay with it as long as there's at least one Barnes & Noble among them.
