Of all the birds that I've shot over the last seven months, I don't think I've caught a true duck. How weird is that? Hmm... how about that Cinnamon Teal from Ankeny a few weeks back?

You would see some good natured ribbing, some pranks and in general, a fun time. It would last all of ten minutes, and it would never be heard of again. Those of the Tupperware thread and others would not see the insult of having someone from the WF in their "midst", as it were, but would join in on the fun, even when it is obviously at the Chat Thread's expense. Interesting, then, to see how this thread is seen in the reverse. Indeed, very telling. The Wedding Forum has garnered a less than stellar reputation from the common diatribes and tirades that occur here with some regularity. It's unfortunate that something so beautiful and so full of potential and talent can become a "by-word" of a form of punishment and disdain. This is not to say that all participants of this particular forum are to blame; on the contrary, many of those that frequent these halls are very nice, helpful and considerate. However, those who are not so nice or considerate, damage the image of the rest; to the extent that the WF has become a Hall of Horrors to many. Countless times I've read posts from those that have wanted to ask questions on this forum, but have not done so because of the vitriol they have seen here. To those that see no problem, I would suggest that you reconsider. Your words and the tone of many of your posts are very off putting to the newbie, and to those that are established photographers in their own right. Perhaps, and hopefully, this small thread can be seen as a wake up call to end the period of apparent self aggrandizement and bitter exchange all in the name of Wedding Photography. Dan, I counted up the $50.00 words and you owe me $4995.00. (weird how that came out to the price of a MKIII) Very well said BTW. The Site
