No dear. You cheated. You used archive photos to pay with. You were lucky to get away with that. maybe the freedom will be reconsidered and you will be returned to pay up like Paris was.

I am glad you're free, but you know how I feel about such privilege.;)

Good grief...you're all nuts!

WAHAHHAHA.. what have I inspired....I decided to change my av last night on a whim (the owl was cool, but old), Tommy did it at the same time I did and most of TR follows ;)

ROFL- but nice choice of duck. Thanks for sharing!

It is interesting to look at the duck avis in light of different personalities. Wool, I think yours fits you nicely. ;)

What does mine say about me? ;) (I thought it's normally the shrink that's supposed to be the mind reader but the socs seem to be good at that too :D)

I wrote that? Whoa. My meds must've been working that day. ;)

Very profound, very well said. We could all be taking photos individually, and that's it. No community. No nothing. The whole purpose of a forum is to bring people together. I'm glad that the POTN management realizes this and thus seems to be quite ok even with the random chatter.

I've seen forums that force everything to be on topic, it is very dry, very technical, very businesslike and never creates the same sense of community as it does here. This should be Wu's specialty... it's about community, right? ;)

Do you remember me mentioning to you FF and the P holder being a potential problem?

Not the P229. He bought the standard holder, not the 229 UWA holder.. you just want someone to say you were right, right? :p

OK, you are right, and there's one more Z system advantage - you can stack filters. The P229 works just fine on my FF 5D rig, BUT I am limited to only one filter at any time because it is a 'low profile' holder with one slot.

Well... yes and no...

I am going to help Boring Boy Riley as a second shooter this December - so I have been reading the WF a lot to see the advice - for the most part.

But then I see them get nasty - sometimes to the newbies, but to each other. They have their opinions on how something should look and get all crazy if someone goes against the grain. I just sense much venom in there at times... other times they are fine --- but I would rather go to the Lens Forum than the Wedding Forum!

You read WF? I actually read LF because I can hold my own there but the vitriol in WF makes me wanna hurl.

There is only *ONE* WF regular (as in, mostly inhabits WF and shoots weddings) who has both the sanity, wisdom, and real experience to back it up, IMO. I respect that guy a lot. He also happens to have a REAL job and shoots weddings on weekends. I think this is the key differentiator - real job keeps it real instead of letting the 'savior to all mankind cuz I am a wedding shooter' go to one's head.

Right - in the P series there is the UWA that holds one filter, and the normal holder that holds three...
The Z series is better, no doubt about that - but it all works --- and hey, what is wrong with a little vignetting? I see it all the time in the WF :-D

Who is the guy in WF you think is "sane"?

For??????????

I am cleaning junk out of my closest -- I have a bunch of stuff that I don't want to throw out, but I don't use it too often - so it is being archived! So I had to pick up some plastic boxes (Tupperware???)

Thank goodness. Sh*tiest week I've had in a while. At least come monday, I still have a job to go to. Many of my buds didn't fare as well this week.:(
