What really had me frustrated about this was that we were only a couple hundred feet past the last exit when we realized things were stopped. If I had been in the right lane, I would have backed up to the off ramp. Unfortunately, I was in the middle lane, and there was no going anywhere. We were only 3.5 miles from our destination, and it would have taken us maybe 5 minutes if we'd gotten off the freeway.

Felt like that too, for me. Wished I'd taken a different route but it was too late :( Oh well, live and learn.

Evening, Yoda!

The owl sleeps late, very late. Not 2AM yet. Still have some energy left despite a 8 hour long training shoot :)

HAHAHA! Yeah, she's pretty subdued right now. It won't take long for her to spool up to her normal activities here, tho'.

I tend to ramble. Feel free to put me on ignore.

Trust me, she'll catch up. When it comes to coffee, she's a true Olympian.

Hi Belmondo. Yeah, she's pretty famous in Sweden. :) Used to be a pro snowboarder, then ended up as a pop artist. Lots of her songs are popular. She has a really good live voice. Never heard her live before.

Nice pictures, Claire. I really like the second one.

Hey, Scott. What did you do to earn the new title?

AAAAARG! Our network has been down since the morning (it's now 7:51 PM). It's almost scary how dependant I'm on the internet!

We got stuck in this mess (external link) yesterday. We sat in our car on the freeway for just about an hour. I was getting a little nervous because this occurred right in front of us just before our exit. I was very low on gas, and it was 110F. I had to keep the engine idling for the A/C, but I also had to keep an eye on the remaining gas. Fortunately, I still had about 2 gallons left when we got clear of the wreck and off the freeway.

I've never seen an accident quite like this. The Hummer (H2) had its entire undercarriage ripped out from under it. The mini-van had its side ripped open, but nobody riding in it was hurt. There was a tractor/trailer also involved that they didn't mention in the article. It was sitting on the shoulder with a flat front tire on the tractor.

Very messy.

Glad you are okay Chief...and that everything worked out..

I know the feeling! Something was wrong with my connection yesterday. My DSL was giving me speeds reminiscent of my old 300-baud dialup days. It fixed itself somehow late in the evening, but I just changed out the cord anyway, just to be sure.
