I took this while I was backing out of the driveway this morning (from the comfort of my car window!).

5D with the 200 2.8 (no tubes).

One of my favorite "macro" shots is one I got using the 100-400, long before I bought tubes. Let's see if I can find it real quick.

Here it is.. (Warning to those who have an aversion to bugs. Especially bugs sucking the life out of other bugs!)

And for those who want something a little easier on the eyes, here's a freshly processed picture from the batch I'm working through right now from a trip to Disneyland a couple weeks ago. This is one of the "pirates" performing on the stage at Pirate's Lair (the newly remodeled and renamed Tom Sawyer Island).

I never knew there were pirates who looked this good! Makes me want to go swashbuckling! ;) :D

Hey, Scott. What did you do to earn the new title?

T.D. wrote in post #3387657 (external link)
So what did Scott do to get the new title?

Huh? What the heck!??

thomascanty wrote in post #3387664 (external link)
I already asked that. No answer yet...

Sorry! I went to bed at 2am - slept in till now...

thomascanty wrote in post #3387677 (external link)
I found it. Scott's new title came from this thread: https://photography-on-the.net …p=3382094&postcount=51238

Yea - that one....

T.D. wrote in post #3387685 (external link)
Ahhh, I remember that post, but forgot the line. Funny! I don't think he's going to appreciate it as much as we do, though.

I find it funny... Kinda

So do I!

Not bad for the 100-400 --- really not a macro lens, so that shows "elite skillz" to be able to get that!

That was a very magical weekend. I got so many awesome shots during those three days (and you know I don't brag), many with the 100-400, including a few other "macros". I also made it to the top of California's third tallest peak during that trek (White Mountain Peak at 14,246'), which was actually the whole point of the trip, and managed to make some new very close friends in the process. The only group hike I've been on that was more memorable was my first hike to the top of White with a few of the same people. Ashley was able to go the first time. She wasn't feeling well this second time...

I'm rambling, aren't I? I guess it is a bit late for me. And I didn't get much sleep yesterday. And there were those problems at work today...

Hold the ransom...I've been located!!!!

Actually, after I got off work Thurs. morning we decided to make an impromptu run down to my mom's with Aaron. We'll be home about midnight tonight so I'll jump back in tomorrow and see what's going on. Anything exciting happened over the past 3 days?

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.
