Oh and Permie - it isn't Morning yet... I went downstairs to brew some Starbucks AND I AM OUT OF FILTERS!!!!!

NOOOOOO.....

use a folded papertowel, it works in a pinch (and Scott, for better coffee, more intense flavor, give up paper filters and buy a wire mesh filter...it's a whole new flavor)

(which panasonic do you have Chief? I used to have the TZ1...)

Lumix TZ3 (10MP)

It's kinda' fun, and a darned sight more portable than the Mk III with the 24-105 on it.

One note on Nemo. The seagulls in sydney are WAY too life like. When I was down there all I could think of was Mine... MIne.. Mine.. they seriously acted like that. It was hilarious.

how is the noise issues? I loved the tz1 but over 100 iso it was riddled with noise. Otherwise it was an excellent p&s...the lens was great and I loved the ultrazoom.

My sister is bringing some filters home when she gets back from work. I have looked for the wire-mesh filters for my machine but I can't locate one :-( I need to search again... *off to Google*

Someone spent a lot of time actually watching clownfish and tangs (actually all the marine and aquatic life) to pick up on all the subtle nuances of characters.

I won't argue with that... I also heard that they had to completely redo some scenes because it just looked too real and they thought nobody would ever believe it was animated.

But, that isn't the only thing that makes an animated movie "ROCK!"

I'm going to have to go get this DVD right away and see if Puddles' observations are what put me off about it.

My name is Lonnie, but I answer to Thomas too.

I'm really ignorant where flash is concerned (we own the 580 ex..version one I assume and I still haven't figured it out...I just occasionally put it on the camera, dial it down to low output and shoot...and that's all I ever use it for). What would you use the mt-24ex twin lite flash for?

So far, so good. I really haven't played around with any of the images. I didn't have any way to download the SD-HC card to my Mac until last night. My card reader would only read SD cards, and when I tried downloading directly from the camera, the Canon software kept getting in the way and doing strange things to the computer.

I've only shot a couple images with it, and I don't think I'll be doing much with high ISO settings.

It's a good companion for the 180L macro lens I have. I'm guessing I'll try to find a bug or something.

I got into trouble because, though I knew what a Cub was, a Boy was and an Eagle, I had yet to spot a Webelo. The Leader didn't think it was humourous. My friends thought it was funnier than heck. I lead a mutiny by the age of ten.
