This hummingbird nest is about 2 inches across...It was lower than eye level in my mom's orange tree! Too bad the babies flew away last week.

Once I'm convinced you've truly repented and are not simply giving it lip service.

(Read that as I want at least 1 duck shot and 1 MK III box shot and we'll consider this matter behind us -- a duck shot with the box in the same frame gets you a Starbucks Breve!)

That ain't gonna happen (Unless Jake can be convinced....)

Uh huh. Okay.

ROFL...Just how hard to you think it will be to convince Jake that Permie is not really repenting, but merely putting on the act to stay out of Pergatory?

Scott, the quality of your shots is just as good as this guys. He's got a style that you don't have (not better style -- different style) and he's very creative with his shot set up. And he's got a great website. There is absolutely no reason you can't do what he's doing.

From his FAQ:
Do you use the Dragan effect action?
No. I guess it's an okay way to learn some things about manual editing if you observe the steps and apply the knowledge to your own techniques. However, I think bare actions and pre-made filters look silly.

What kind of camera do you use?
Most of the pictures on my website were created with a simple Minolta Dimage 7HI but I now use a Canon 5D

Canon... Or Nikon?
No quarrels- whatever gets the job done.

What lenses do you use?

Mainly just one, a Canon 85mm 1.8 prime

NICE! This kid is smart! Does all that work without using actions and presets... wowz...

I was just reading on the Adobe/Lightroom site (external link) and ran across this in the FAQ

Subject to the terms of the End User Licensing Agreement, the primary user of the computer on which Photohop Lightroom (the "Software") is installed may install a second copy of the Software for his or her exclusive use on either a portable computer or a computer located at his or her home, provided that the Software on the portable or home computer is not used at the same time as the Software on the primary computer. You may be required to contact Adobe in order to make a second copy. Photoshop Lightroom is sold as multi-platform software, which means it can be installed on either Mac OS X or Windows.

Am I the only one who didn't know about this? I'll be installing Lightroom on my laptop momentarily!!

Microsoft Office 2007 can be used on 3 machines. Lots of software comes with that caveat.
