I have all of Futurama on DVD. Several Spongebob Squarepants too, and a couple seasons of The Simpsons. I'd love to get all of The Simpsons, but I don't know if I can afford it. It's been around forever and there are just too many...

Spongebob is the greatest. I recently got made fun of by a 9 year old for liking that show. I have all the simpsons and can't wait for the movie!!!

Lisa, I cannot believe you have over 13,000 posts. My lord, girl...... you were far behind me when the RRTP first started.

I know, I just like visiting with these guys...they're rather addicting!

I am nowhere near ready. Could use some company to motivate me.

I'd love to come but Dan's got me on a budget hiatus since the MKIII! I pwomised to be a vewy good girl for a while. If I could find cheap plane tickets in the height of the season, I'd come!

The only cartoon I've got the whole series of is Dangermouse! (after all, the's the greatest secret agent in the world...)

It took me a while to finally watch that show, but I was hooked instantly.

I also forgot to mention, I have all 11 seasons of South Park on DVD.

Do planes even fly over the rainbow? Not sure you could get a ticket even if you weren't on a budget.

Me too. It really started to go downhill fast about the middle of the 9th season and never really recovered.

Cartoons took a turn for the worse when the Jetsons and the Flintstones came to the end of their runs. The combined Hanna-Barbera and original Looney Tunes productions set a bar that just hasn't been touched since. Rocky and Bullwinkle was a cult classic that could probably be included. But since that time...nothing has really been very good. Thundercats has great animation, but there is something missing in the story line. The Simpsons is very good, but it really doesn't have broad audience appeal...South Park is probably the best stuff since the 60s...but it just isn't kid friendly.

I grew up with bugs bunny and the gang but watching it now just isn't the same for me. Just like speed racer was awesome and i recently bought the series but it dissapointed me. same with fraggle rock. i assume i just matured maybe but i still love a few of the shows on today... but you're right, most are crap. :P

I've been looking over my shots from yesterday. I just used the 300 w/no tc. What I noticed last night on a couple of shots of gulls, was that even on iso 100, I was overexposing the gulls on the sunny day...leaving a transparent white (not chromatic) halo around their heads in high contrast situations (with the tc's this is the area has CA). I'm thinking that where my 5D and the 30D tended to underexpose everything, that the MKIII may be tending towards overexposure...I automatically use + exposure comp because of the way I always used to shoot...yesterday I dialed it down to 0 (tried both evaluative and spot metering) and still came up with overexposed heads. When I adjusted the exposure in lightroom, for the heads, the bodies were under exposed but the halos went away.

So, I'm thinking my "ca" issues must be exposure related...

CA issues are almost always exposure related...;)
