That is an odd design on his web - the white lines zig-zagging

Yeah a little bit. One of the Marco guys told me it was an Argiope. Which is just a garden spider. Most from my google search show the same design but they are more yellow than this on. I am going to be like Alan and keep an eye on them and see if an egg sack appears and babies.

I hate spiders... I would just smash the spider before they could lay more eggs :-D

I don't like them either. I had rather be in a room full of snakes than with one spider. I just saw it while I was doing yard work and was inspired by Alan so I thought I would get some shots and see what happened.

Spider Hater!

How do you feel about Dragonflies?

Found this one today at the Botanical Garden.

Gotta love the 30D and the 100-400! :p

It really takes the whole backfocusing issue to a whole new level.

I'd definitely send that MKIII in for service! ;)

I love Dragonflies! I wish we had some more over here in Boring. I saw some huge ones yesterday in Portland - but I couldn't stop.

Photographs are records of life. Pity they don't make music when you put them in a record player. :p

Hmm... I wonder if she's trying to hide something...

She had a number of friends over last night to play bunko, and whilst picking up, I found she had a big B&H catalog. She had something tucked into the page with the Mk. III. Wasn't there a song called "Dream on?" ;)

Hey, congrats on #2000, Alyssa! Is 2000 one of the "special" numbers? It's hard to tell with the TF flitting about...
