Just got off the phone with Jon....I think he is having POTN withdrawal...he got on for a moment yesterday, but has no real good signal for his cell phone and has to go several miles to an internet cafe to be able to log on...The mountains here are far more remote than people suspect.

I had to chuckle at the thread that was floating around last week with some guy complaining that he wanted to post bigger pictures because the current limits did injustice to his wonderful work. He even got a little redneck with Pekka. I think he was about one word from finding out how the smite button works...because he sure didn't want to listen to reason. People that come from tiny little countries can't seem to understand just how big the US really is...and that not every house has another house 2 feet away.

Anyway...Jon says "Hi"....we are supposed to go to Roan Mountain on the NC/TN border to shoot some flahrs and scenics tomorrow mooooooooooooorning.

HI JON!! *waving*

Sounds like you guys will be having some fun tomorrow. Hope the weather is exactly what you want.

I must have missed that thread...I have been reading lots of different things too but I didn't see it. Though if there was a complaint in the title, I probably would have skipped it completely

I like Newberg a lot. The vineyards are very pretty. Since I am driving from Boring to Newberg for my classes (don't ask why) I plan to spend a lot of time down there while waiting between classes. So I expect a lot of time for photography :-D

Same here. Right now I am redoing a gallery from last year. When that is done I need to start getting my carnival photos up from this year, last year and the year before that and...... That will be a big task. I only got 3200+ photos from the carnival over years.

that's funny...I'm not sure what threads are being drama at the moment...but, I was just thinking that I just love (read that: HATE) being made irrelevant in a post. Usually one of those trauma type threads where everyone is upset and you post some options but because I don't make $100K a year at shooting, then my information is pushed to the side as less than worthless... I don't know why I bother to try to be helpful sometimes.

I know what you mean...I have (she says most shamefaced) :o about 10K photos to edit and either toss or get up in the gallery (I have a lot of private galleries so that I can rotate the photos in and out of the public ones...so the public ones don't get boring) and I just think the task is overwhelming so I put it off...and it just grows worse and worse...

My favorite is i'm from the US so i don't know diddly squat... but yes, they make for good times when someone gets so angry over something to small, at a stranger, over millions of miles away, on the internet, and in an inpersonal setting. makes my day.

Hehe me too but I doubt it. Have lots of work at the moment. Beginning of august I am hoping to go shoot a historic race which then will add lots of photos to sort through and then when I return from africa I will probably have many thousands of photos to sort through.
