:oops:Uh, I was strictly looking at the self-portrait thread. Yeah, the self-portrait thread in an attempt to support fellow Tupperware poster, Liza.

...at least I didn't take a camera into the bathtub! :p

:p :p

and re: Claire's "no lens" comment...I think it's because this is somewhat of a social hour thread   we just come in here to enjoy each other's company. And post photos galore...and make nonsensical statements and mostly make ourselves "objects de ridicule" to those who don't enjoy this sort of thing ;)

I guess she and I have a different idea of socialization. I think it's nice to talk about what you enjoy with your friends. And some of us like glass! :)

You're starting to sound like a certain young lad holed up in his mama's basement! :p

That kid does not know 1D cameras from a hole in the wall.
However, my perfect camera would be 30D with the MkIIN AF system. I betcha, that's gona be 40D, or perhaps 3D we shall see soon. Then I'll be as happy as a pig in $hit.

Yeah, right. That's your story and you're sticking to it.

Actually, I think the G&N forum is an excellent place to learn about lighting the human form. Paul Buceta and Freddycr are my heroes!

Weathersealed 5D with 1-series AreaAF and CFn 18-2... stick a fork in it, I'm done!

Add 8fps and usable ISO 6400, and I'm done as well!

Ah yes, I forgot about one of my other criteria, 5fps. ISO 6400 would be nice! I don't want a megapixel bump...I want a noise performance bump. 12.7 is plenty, in fact I can be so decadent as to shoot horizontal and apply a vertical crop and still come out with 6MP without needing a vertical grip/flash bracket!

Mine's lower than yours but I can see why you would appreciate a full 8.5 ;)
