Mine's lower than yours but I can see why you would appreciate a full 8.5 ;)

Why, for my beloved basketball shooting, of course. :)

Myself, I don't even shoot hot tub snorkeling (competitive or not), so 5 is adequate

I like fast action, so the higher fps is essential. I'm very anxious to see what Canon comes up with in the spring. They'll probably disappoint me, as usual, with some new consumer crap. I was so pissed when they released that 400D without a command dial. It would have been a decent back up camera had they done that.

And I think it's quiet because everyone is doing last minute shopping. I did mine earlier this evening. :)

Okay....here's a subject sure to stimulate lots of discussion.

There was a locomotive built called the Willamette. It was a blatant ripoff of the Lima Pacific Coast Shay. The only difference was the cylinders were on the other side of the frame.

Fascinating, huh?

I'm not short. I'm concentrated awesome!

Ah yes, giving the 400D the dial would have been impractical for them because that'd kill the market for the 30D. "Build quality" is not something I am TOTALLY hung up over (just a little bit I'll admit :p). Impractical for us because the dial would be quite small though I fail to see why it cannot replace the 4 buttons.

In a way I'm hoping the 5D's replacement is NOT spectacular.. I don't wanna spend more money!! :D

My shopping's done, put the brakes on the expenditure. Only Christmas gifts I'm getting this year are the ones I've 'arranged' to get delivered.

Friend was contemplating blowing $1K on his GF for Christmas.. now THAT is anathema to me.

Our jeans are rather private petkins...and we rarely discuss who's in the pool with us!

Now, the hot tub is another story. . .
