Very.... it reminds me there are people who still genuinely care enough to do this kind of thing for me. As I said.. it's good to be home.. there are a lot more people I know here that would do this, than when I'm away.

It is the small things that matter...

My aunt and uncle did the most amazing thing for me for Christmas. First they handed me a gold colored pen....and said, wait for the explanation. So we did. Then they went back out to the car and brought in this portfolio sized container with MY PHOTOS done on large canvas. They'd had 6 made, one for my mother, one for us one for themselves and their son (WHO'S a realestate agent in town and he's going to EXHIBIT it in his office) and one for each of my kids...and they asked me to sign and number them. My aunt's said she talked to them at her work too and they are willing to exhibit my work whenever I'm ready....can you believe it? I just cried...it was the sweetest gift...(and they photographed me signing my first large canvases...) :D  :D    (needless to say I was very touched)

santa has been and gone here. nothing really that exciting left behind either. Oh well I brought myself the interesting presents this year. angled view finder for the camera :)

However I did make my brothers day, he has only just been getting in to photography and got him the battery grip for the 400D. The camera is going to be a better fit for him now.
he did expect either :) which was the best part.

I was grateful to get the gift certificates. I'm between sizes (7 and 9) right now and am having a difficult time finding pants that will fit me properly. Sometimes the department stores have brands that fit me a bit better than discount chains.

it's a shame that people consider giving money a bad thing. each year because my nephews get everything they need the only thing that I give them is money.
this year is the first time that I had seen what visa brought out. it's a card that you can put money on and they use it like a credit card. sometimes people are hard to buy for (aka me) etc so why not?

Yes I was so touched! And her work is the local hospital so they do often exhibit art for sale there....as well as buy it themselves...it's just too cool. :D

Happy Holidays to all. May you be blessed with peace, love, and friendship.

And here's a little something, courtesy of Joe Buissink, that I lifted from DWF:

it's surprising how much better photos are once they are printed. I am sure that's looks so nice and one can see it hanging on someones wall.
