Night all...I have a couple more chimneys that require some personal attention. Don't forget to leave out the milk and cookies if you haven't already had a visit...peanut butter are the favorite....and if you remember a carrot or two...Rudolph and the boys will be most appreciative. Merry Christmas gang. Peace and good will to you all!

Thanks Wool... have a good one

And, Sari, that's wonderful news about you getting to go home. The Big Guy works in mysterious ways. ;)

Tom

Thanks, wishing you a good one too.

The talk in the spendathon thread is interesting. I know who you're talking about (but won't identify them.. no need to). In fact I just got back from talking to another friend, and the conversation was about the 200/1.8 and the 300/2.8 ISL..

Why am I suddenly tempted to save for the 300/2.8 ISL?

Okay, Sari. We're with you today, at least in spirit.

Whistle a happy tune, blah, blah. It'll be over before you know it.

Hi Sari! I was so happy to hear of your good fortune! That's so great that your Boss Scrooge got those visits from the ghosts and you got to go home. :)
Hope you are making the most of it!

Well, that's what I get for not going back and reading your earlier posts. I now see you didn't end up working, and that's good.

Have a great Christmas.

Just came back from my Christmas evening shoot.. big event in the big city.

Can't believe how clean that ISO 1600 is on the 5D.. it looks unbelievable, better than ISO 400 on my 350D. Hardly a hint of noise anywhere.. you need to pixel peep and LOOK for it to find it. I always used to avoid ISO 1600. Well.. no more. Definitely no more.

Think that I stand a pretty good chance of wearing out that 24-105 f/4L as well. Hope the L's are built tough.. I don't mistreat it at all but it certainly sees REALLY heavy duty use as my general purpose lens. It's the lens that spends THE most time attached to the 5D.

Hope everybody else had a great Christmas.. this was the highlight of my day :)

The kids left a couple hours ago. Miss them already, but the nap was nice!

Merry Christmas, all
