From what I've seen the ISO 3200 was pretty clean. That camera is soooo tempting, but I must resist for now.

Yup.. I avoided 3200 since I was able to get sufficient shutter speed for street shooting even in the dark. The Christmas light up lived up to its name.. LIGHT, lots of it! :D (1/60-1/125 f/4!)

If ISO 1600 is this clean though, I wouldn't hesitate to use 3200.

I got upp early to pp last night's shots so I could send disks home with the kids but they got eaten. No photos frorm all the fun last night. :( At least I had dumped the "belly" shots earlier and they are still fine. although, all show up as jpeg now if viewed through bridge. ???

Ouch.. my sympathies. Data loss hurts, no matter what or when it happens. (had that happen to me recently except it was to a 250GB hard disk containing my entire archive - all the JPEGs got corrupted and are now partially readable)

ISO 3200 is perfectly fine on a 20D....way better than any film versions ever were.

3200 is useable IF exposure is absolutely perfect...and that can be tricky...on the whole I prefer a good piece of Christmas fudge ;)

Hullo Wu....
Fudge seems to be a quantity...my daughter is inordinately fond of it...so the rest of us have to beg/plead to get any ;)

I've been extraordinarily good this season...today I didn't follow my diet but the rest of the time I've done really well.

Did you all have a nice Christmas?

PG: Congratulations on the staying power :D

I'm the kind who absolutely cannot diet... at the most I make concessions like, diet coke once in a while ;)

Borrowed a real Arca Swiss monoball and tripod from someone.. tripod's fine but the Arca doesn't impress me that much.. definitely not something I would pay $450 for.

My favorite holiday is April 14- Pi Day. I also enjoy celebrating Groundhog's day. I'll add Bubba day to my list of celebrations this year to spice things up

I rather like May Day myself. It's actually the old pagan holiday, Beltane. The practice of dancing around the Maypole is a fertility ritual, so it makes me smile when I see unsuspecting people doing that these days.

Yeah, if you nail the exposure, it's fine. I got some great football shots at 3200.

So am I! I LOVE peanut butter fudge, and my mother didn't make any this year.

Keep up the good work, Permie!
I can diet if I need to. For me, it's more about finding the time to exercise. I like to run, so I have to set aside time to do that on the track at school.
