Well I have pictures of Lakers cheerleaders and UCLA ones, but I don't think that would really go for you!

So I'll have to go back to the drawing board.

Yeah, I was so tired last night, it took me forever to fall asleep. So I slept until 8:30 this morning...it was nice. Kids are still asleep, MIL is still at the hotel so I'm just enjoying silence. What's been going on around here? Anything?

The saying "So tired that I can't fall asleep" rings true for me some days too :(

8:30 is early, my idea of a good day is to sleep in till 11 at least!! (but I am a serious night owl, so..)

Things are pretty quiet.. I posted my 'falling stars' shot on the WWPD thread, but that's about it. I find I don't talk as much on POTN as I used to.. even though I am approaching cream status and I'm within 10% of the mark.

The small computer I was building yesterday - that's finally done, fully operational. I just needed one stick of RAM to put in it and I bought it today. How nice to have a computer work the first time.. (trust me, it usually never works out that way!)

Yes, the holidays have kept me so busy, I haven't had much time on here either. I miss the crowd :D I think Wool is MIA...haven't seen him in days. Puddle disappeared somewhere btw. company and work...I barely see his face at dinner....Webby's MIA too...

I'm glad your computer is up and working. That's cool!

I'm an aerobic sleeper.....constantly moving. I'm not sure what that's all about, but it's been that way since I was a kid. I also am a light sleeper, so whatever wakes me up during the night will likely keep me up for a couple hours till I get sleepy again. Last night, I actually fell asleep at 9:00, but woke up at midnight, and didn't get back to sleep until almost 6:00am. We were up again at 7:30, and that was my night's sleep.

I'm not short. I'm concentrated awesome!

unggh...I'd hate that. On minimal sleep I'm even worse that on tons of caffeine!!  Why'd you get up at 7:30 again?

BTW Tom, fwiw, I think you're making a wise decision re: the gear, to evaluate everything before you make any firm decisions....I know people can re-buy gear (SEE Ronald Sr. Jr.) but sometimes you have to go through lots of copies of lenses to find another sharp one to match your old....

On caffiene I am usually good natured..

On lack of sleep.. that's when one risks running into one of my legendary bad moods.

About the lens collection issue - IF you do decide to trim, get rid of the least frequently used ones. That's what I'd do. But I would still keep the core group of zooms. I wouldn't worry too much about the glass dropping in value. Stick to the big viewfinder bodies and keep just what you need (bodies do depreciate much faster, being essentially compact but ultra high performance computers). Lots carp and carp about "how APS-C is enough and full frame is a frill" - yeah sure, look through the VF and you can never look back.

We had an 8:00 appointment here at the house. Every couple months we have to give the gardener an attitude adjustment. Today was the day.
