Anyway... back to photography, which is better than getting myself and others all riled up over things we cannot change in the immediate future.

A few more good picks from the weekend... a very unusual 'rock with a view'. The camera and I were hiding in the shadow to avoid ending up in the frame ;)

Perma, you tried the machine out yet?

Yes, and actually I liked it (he hasn't finished with the bowflex yet but the elliptical was really easy on my hip). Not to say I don't feel like h*@% at the moment...well I'm a little better because I just took a hot bath. But I like "the machine" ;) I used to ride bikes about 6 mi. a day (3 or 4x/wk) before I broke my hip. This really is kind of like that...it's a good hurt ;). Hope I'll stick to it.

She looked at it while Dan was putting it together....does that count?

Yeah, I looked at it and when I was later using it and he was working on the other machine (they aren't very easy to assemble..at least not these) I had the nerve to say "boy I'm SO tired"

I got a speeding ticket earlier this year, but I wasn't drinking. I just had the audacity to pass an unmarked state police officer doing 82 mph.

I was talking to some police officers around here, they'd just got new Dodge Chargers for the city and it's got the same engine in it as my car....so I was talking to them, asking them how they liked the new cars...and talking about mine...and just suddenly said "BOY is it easy to speed with an engine like that..." (I've never had a ticket in my life...so far) They both just looked at me (quite shocked like) and of course, I lamely followed up with "...not that I ever speed"....

Dan just drug me away from them before I got myself arrested

We need to get our "before" photos taken, girls. Then we'll start our dieting and toning. I think I'm gonna do salad bar at work every day and run the track. How 'bout you other ladies?

I'll have a before photo taken tomorrow, when Dan's not "tired" (that's what we call it in our house when he's overworked and wants peace"

) ;) But I won't POST it until I'm at my goal, then I'll post both. (I'll PM it to you if I must...)

I can assure you Liza, it's going to take me a heck of a lot longer to reach mine than you yours! But I am determined to do it.

edit: oh and I'm doing weight watchers (and toning). I've had success with w/w before and I don't have to do anything really different in how I cook (since mostly I already cook lean). Just how much I eat...and stop sitting around on my blooming arse...(so it'll stop blooming of course) ;)

Good idea about delaying the posting of photos. I'll have to ask Wyatt to take mine. It won't take long for me to drop a few pounds, but it sure will take some time before I'm properly toned. The abs are my main concern.

Impressive set up! You could start traveling west from your location and pick up the regular members of this thread along the way. When we hit the west coast we could all visit Mareen and Belmondo. :)

Come on...the door is open.

Does this mean I have to pour the rest of my Bloody Mary down the drain?!?!

You didn't say you were dieting...besides 3/4 of it is V8, so it's semi-healthy right?

Salad every day? Yikes. I get too hungry for that. I do it maybe 1-2 times a week. The gym I have set for min 2 times a week, preferably 3 times/week.

I eat quite healthy already, it's the moving around I need more. Anyone got a good program in the gym?
