I recall having a hot blonde wannabe hip hop girl across my window. She was South African & only dated black guys. Now there'd been photo ops if I'd had a lens & better angle...at least by the sound of things...

My daughter had a room mate like that....

You should go out and shoot....I always feel better when I do...

That always worked for me, as well. . . until the end of July. No more.

I am going to play with my interest in macro. I always enjoyed that so maybe will again. Plus I can do it and still be a hermit :)

ROFL those handstands get me every time;) Hope he's out shooting. I'm still thinking I am going to try the parade tonight, but just so ready to grab a beer and sit on my tush.

Macro is wonderful, Wu. I like to do a lot of macro work in the summer when I'm off work. Is there a butterfly conservatory near you? There' s one I frequent in Indianapolis which has afforded me some great photographic opportunities.

No conservatory here. I haven't done "bugs" in years and years. Used to be really into that. I'll have to re-explore that avenue somehow.
I think I will likely work flowers and fruit/veggies, somewhat more abstract, maybe shallow DOF and focus on light, shadow, and form. . . . Have had some things in mind but don't have the lighting I need and have missed my macro lens.
color is off on these, but there are some things I want to try along these lines, as well:

good point, I think I have about $10 in my purse... but that won't even pay for shipping!

OK, OK. You folks drive a hard bargain. I will reduce shipping specially for you since you asked ;)

Not worth the money. What would I do with a 300mm? Take pics of the neighbours in their bedroom?

Oh come on! Why can't you be like other NORMAL members of the forum, who buy the red ringed lenses, put them on a trophy case, polish them regularly, take them out, paw them, and put them back and admire them?

.. err.. wait..

That's not normal is it?

Oh, ours aren't very hot either...LOL

Now, if I was still at Uni it could have been interesting. I'd have pics to post in the G&N... ;)

mmmmmmmmm...... now THAT is a good use.. and the 300/4 is moderately fast at f/4 (as long tele's go) so you can even take pics of the night parties.

I've always found my 350D's onboard actually made a very nice macro flash because its angle of coverage was so wide. Maximum flash power is generally not a concern (nor the fact that most of it goes wide and is wasted) since you work fairly close.

Need a $40 macro?

I have a macro ring and a sigma 500. what I need is decent lighting for back and under lighting.

What do you have in mind?

Thanks, Wool. :) I ended up staying home. Just too comfortable to dress again. I no longer do parades semi skyclad. ROFLMBO
