Sounds like a good deal, but be aware that you will probably need to get a 120 back for it (unless you want to shoot 220 film...).

120 film[as far as i know] will work perfectly fine in a 220 back. From what I've learned, it will shoot about 13 pictures and it will continue going until the roll of film physically runs out.

Yes, I forgot to mention that all my backs were 120's with the exception of the rare 645 back that I also had. It would get 15 exposure's opposed to the normal 12 with a 6x6 back.
The beauty of having multiple backs is being able to change film speeds when necessary, or even keep one loaded with B&W film. ;)
But since you decided on the Mamiya now it doesn't matter anyway.

The Captain and crew finally got their stuff together, now if we can only remember where we left it.

It shouldn't - the pressure plate should have a different amount of tension (220 is thinner).

I've been itching for an SQ-A lately...hell, I've been itching for everything lately :p.

So as soon as I save up a little bit I can pick up that 5dmkII/24-70/35L/SQ-A.

Ah, I see. I was not aware the thickness of the films was also different. I will look into that and ask if I can't have the 220 back traded out for a 120 back.

AFAIK the film has the same thickness, the 120 just has backing paper on it (the lack of backing paper allowing you to get twice as many shots on the same spool for 220). So while the film itself is the same, the material running through the back is not.

hey guys, ive got a AE-1 Program, and i need a dioptric adjuster for it, you guys know if theyre even being sold still and where? i really dislike having to use glasses when shooting film.
on my Digital i move the Dio adjuster all the way to the max negative (which is -3 on the 5Dc )

"Raw" is not an acronym, abbreviation, nor a proper noun; thus, it should not be in capital letters.

Here's one from my Canon EF and the FDn 35mm f/2. I totally love that lens. Film was Kodak Ektar 100.

I would love to try a Contax RTS sometime (the RTS III has always struck me as a glorious camera)
