Yes, that one. I will try, but thats what I am worried about.

Obviously these are not the worlds greatest shots, but I wanted to make sure it was functional. I am in need of a new scanner, the all in one printer scanners suck! I would say the Fuji Superia Xtra 400 is more true to color than the Kodak gold 400 I have used. Neither are high end, but until I get better, might as well not waste the good stuff:

I got the wrong battery, so these were 1/60th of a second I believe. I was using the flash to ensure I did not get too much noise. I think even at dusk they would have been fine with out it.

Here are a couple from mine, also on Fuji 400. I think the colors of Fuji work well in this camera, although I do admittedly like Kodak's over-saturated colors a lot of the time.

Not sure which battery you got, but if you're using 675s that I mentioned, they may not be correct since yours is a flash model. =/

Yeah I feel the same on the Kodak, maybe its all this instagram bs brainwashing me, but the Kodak does have a nice pop.

I got the 625, based on a website, it is physically too big. I will be getting a 675 today.

I have some Kodak 400CN B&W C41 in it now. Want to see how it goes with black and white.

I am impressed with the photos I took yesterday, on paper they look better than on the scans. I think I need to invest in developing chemicals!!

The prints I get, even from the 1h at Walgreens, look great. The post above is scanned from the negative via an Epson V330, which seems to be quite a nice little scanner.

However, I'm seeing line through a lot of images (it's in both of these, at the bottom) that I haven't seen on ALL my images. I'm wondering if it's a dud and it's gotta go back to Epson. I bought it refurb from Adorama and unboxed it last Friday. Before that, all I could do were scan prints, which wasn't nearly as nice using my all-in-one scanner.

Yeah, I see that now. I am thinking of getting the Canon 5600F, but I need to look into them more. All i know my HP printer is not cutting it, and it only does prints.

I originally did NOT want another flatbed scanner, because I just don't have anywhere to put it. As it stands, I pull it out when I need it and stuff it in the closet when I don't.

I picked it up refurb from Adorama after reading the reviews and finding it to be perfect for what I do. It's slow and noisy, but it's LED lit and will scan 35mm. Refurbs are available for 60 bucks shipped, so it was a no-brainer.

There's a chance that it will need repair or replacing, but I'll figure that out this weekend. I'm interested to know if the line only appears after extended sessions of scanning, as I was doing.

I like the results of shooting film, but I admit I don't like the wait or the expense when it comes to processing. I'd probably give it all up for a 5D, sadly.

Been shooting some with the Razzle 900. The second one I underexposed by around 2 stops but tried to save it.
Both are Acros 100:

I'm not really familiar with Fuji film negative films, which ones are worth taking a look at? I know Superia is their consumer grade line, but is it even worth shooting? Or is the 'Pro' the only worth shooting? It seems to be quite popular in here, so that's why I'm asking...

I shot Fuji all the time. I think it had better color than Kodak at times. Also, after scanning the negatives after 25+ years, the Fujifilm held up much better than the Kodak negatives under the same conditions. The Kodak negs were all scratched while I was able to get near perfect scans from the Fujifilm.

Shampoo sounds like an unfortunate name for a hair product.

Acros is my favorite B&W film. In 35mm, Superia 200 is supposed to be their best consumer film, but I shoot mostly 120 so it's Reala and 400H for me. Early and late in the day, though, I try to shoot Provia 100F.

"Raw" is not an acronym, abbreviation, nor a proper noun; thus, it should not be in capital letters.

I think I am gonna go with an Epson too. I work at best buy, and we have on which looks to be decent scanning negatives. Plus its 20 bucks cheaper than the canon. For the amount of use it will get, I want to spend as little as possible.

Just open-box one and write yourself an invoice sheet for ten bucks.

That's what the store manager used to do when he would give his friends projection TVs back when I was an employee. Of course, this was years ago, but I'm sure he wasn't helping the company's bottom line any. 0:)

What I really wanted was something like a Plustek that would scan a strip without having to give up a lot of space, but for the price, some of these entry-level flatbeds are too good to pass up. I just wish they were wireless, so I could stuff them into the bookshelf like my printer and keep them out of the way.

Haha sadly no, I am infact the inventory controller, so it would just make my job harder! The company has enough problems!

I actually have the space, the printer is wireless so it can go anywhere. My main concern is dust. Believe it or not, but there is a lot of sand in the desert! I will have to fab up a cover when not in use.
