I was planning to get this scanner in the future, but on another forum people told me that this scanner is not a drum scanner, it is a great scanner but they recommend me to go with another true drum scanner for best highest quality. It's not bad, especially for the price, but the V700 or V750 are definitely better. I'm going back to school this year so I'll be using whatever they have on campus -Abram-

A drum scanner is a pain however the results are better, marginally in some cases. Film must be mounted with solution for best contrast. The flatbed I have is said to rival the Tango drum scanner and while it is a tank it is no where near as much hassle.
