Scored a Mamiya RB67 Pro last week.

CONGRATS Man, that camera is a Beast!

The Captain and crew finally got their stuff together, now if we can only remember where we left it.

I'm liking it so far. Just need to make time to get it out and run some film through it.

I have one and it is a great one. I just wish I had more time to get out and shoot with it....

Scored a Olympus Stylus Epic DLX for $20. The LCD was cracked and doesn't show data so the guy listed it as not working, so I bought it. Arrived today, threw a battery and a roll of film in and it seems to be working perfectly. I'll shoot through the roll just to make sure, but so far it seems like I got the deal of a lifetime.

a question!

I've been reading up on ND filters and long daylight exposures. All of the web pages and videos talk about digital cameras, I am guessing that the same principal will apply to film cameras. Would this be correct?

I've never used one and I'd like to try it out with both types of cameras. I've seen lots of examples of digital images, but no film examples.

Thoughts? and if there any examples with film, share?

ABSOLUTELY! ND filters were first used with film cameras. All the same principles apply. ;-)a

I like that, the framing is quite good. it's a nice peaceful shot.

some editing needs to be done tho, remove the powerlines and increase the contrast of the sky but I don't think there is anything to complain about in this photo.

Thanks.
The image is straight off the scanner, only editing is a little bit of crop to clean up the edges that show through the film holder on the scanner.

Has anyone pushed Ilford HP5+ to 1600 with good results? I usually shoot it at 800, but I'd like an extra stop at times as I typically shoot street photography so I like the deep depth of field and fast shutter speeds. However by Sunny 16, 1600 is a stop overexposed one stop in broad daylight. Will this effect it too much? I know it can typically be overexposed by a stop or two at box speed, but will that change when pushed two stops?

Not HP5, but I have pushed Delta 400 to 3200 with better results than Delta 3200 at 3200. I have a roll of HP5 I might try it. If it is ok at 800 it should be fine at 1600, according to Ilford 13 mins in DDX (http://www.ilfordphoto.com/Webfiles/2006216122447.pdf (external link)). Best way to find out is have a go. If you want to overexpose by a stop you will need to rate your metering at ISO800 and push the film to 1600, or you could rate it at 1600 and push to 3200 if you want shutter speeds inline with 1600.

edit: are you developing yourself or using a lab?
