You can press the button down, then manually flip up the pin. its really tiny, so look carefully. once you get the lens off, turn it around and there's a little level sticking out. push it down and you should see the aperture reduce to its smallest size. Release it and it should return to its widest aperture. If it wont go past f/11, the its probably jammed. (putting it on the camera wont make it go to 1.4.) hope that helps... by the by... is this the model you're using or the second? I'm an Nikon FE user for about 20 years... i've used several types of lenses, but still have my Nikkor 50mm f/1.2 AiS manul focus. I'm using the FT. thanks for the info.
