yeah, I should have provided some more context. I came across a few boxes of legos from may parents house. rather then toss them I kept the sets (for my son) but grabbed all the mini figures I could find. I new there were a lot of people out there doing all sorts of photography and other stuff with the figures. I started a series, well, more of a "something to do when I'm bored", kind of project.

there are a couple shots leading up to this. all are on my flickr account in my sig. basically the pirate guy comes across a mass grave of his people and sets out to rebuild them. Of course in true pirate style he makes himself a woman first. this is a shot after he finished putting her together and they are looking at the rest of the body parts. sunset image is on my monitor and was done a few weeks back. used a flashlight to try and mimic the sunlight.

I think it actually is symbolism for the LEGO's manufactured, "fake" life, the beatiful natural scene, like them, is just a manufactured machine. Or it is just a person playing with legos :P. I don't really like the foreground, though. I think with a shallower depth of field showing blured keys , and without the pile of LEGO parts, you would have a great picture here.
