#7 is a little soft, but I like the feel of it.

I like the set. Some C&C from me....
1- can you get rid of the face peeping out from behind?
2/3/4 all seem to crop the instruments in the wrong place
7 is my favorite but i would crop it down a bit from the top

These pics all seem to be a little on the somber side and seeing Rusted Root 3-4 times in my life they put on a high energy set. I know they aren't the same band they used to be but have they toned it down a bit lately?

Did you get these with a photo pass? Or did they let you bring your camera in? What were you shooting with?

I shot these from the crowd with a Canon Rebel xt & a Canon 70-200 f/2.8 IS. There is a weekly summer concert series near my house that allows cameras.

I've never seen them before, so I don't know what they were like, not really a fan. I just picked the ones I thought had some good emotional content.

This one is a bit happier, I think I have a couple others of the bass player that are are similar to pix #3 that have the head of the bass & happier face, I just liked the lights in the back ground on this one the best.

Thanks for the input.

Nice, I have photographed Rusted Root tons of times... In the last year or so I think 3 times plus a promo shoot, they should be on my site.

Okay set, I think some additional work on them would make them better. I agree with most of the above comments. Especially it is rare for me to see them without more emotion....

1. Good sharp image but maybe an odd crop.... And that face in the background (below his arm) really bothers me for some reason.
2. Pretty good
3. Don't like the mic infront of Patrick, and he (the main subject) is way on the left. The headstock is cut off anyway so I'd crop it.
4. Looks overblown on his sleeve/forhead
5. Good shot, again odd cropp.
6. Odd expression on Liz, I probably would have chosen a different photo.
7. Looks OOF and again looks like the right needs cropped more.

Thanks for the input.

Yeah Patrick photographs well.... He is one heck of a nice guy as well. This one looks a bit front-focused though.
