One of the "wet feet" shots we made from Sausalito.

I would agree, but it shows the texture of the water. Perhaps it is too dark.

I can't see the water. It's complete darkness.

Yeah, it is dark in the post, not how I had it full res. I can see the water, but not as well as I should. I'll lighten it some this afternoon, if I can. I may have to choose one of the other versions. All of these were shot for HDR with up to 9 shot brackets.

Absolutely. The best shots outside the gate were made late at night. They close the road to the far west at 9pm or something like that, but you can still get to the closer ones as late as you want. I really wish it wasn't 1300 miles away. I have many places in mind that I would like to shoot from, but it takes about one night per location to cover. I only had two nights. We were "on location" about 6 hours both nights. Born there, never lived there. Best time to photograph is late fall, early winter. Much clearer skies.

OK. Let's see how you like this one. I'm still considering a little cropping. Not much texture to the bay because it was during that calm time when the tide is not moving. Add the time xpo to that and there isn't much there.

Edit: Tell you what. Look at it on Zen because something about this site is making that foreground much darker than it appears either local or on Zenfolio (external link).
