I have now built my own website. There are some shots some of you have already seen and there a few new ones.

I hope you enjoy......? but feel free to rip them apart if need be, any advice for improvement is wecome.

A lot of people criticise the G6 but as you can see, with a little care, patience and editing the results can be rewarding. So click away and enjoy....:D

Excellent.

I should get around to making a Webpage, someday, to show off my work. Seems to be a better choice than using free hosting services as you can truly customize your own page.

BTW, I'll never criticize my G6 as it's one of the top compacts made, today, if not the best one. I think it may get some knocks by those who don't know how to use it.

Great somebody who says nice things about the G6. Like any type of photography a little care and patiance goes a long way. As for the website you'd like to build i used the PSCS2 and the adobe bridge that comes with it, there are various template choices and hey presto it was done, i then did some of my own editing using dreamweaver then uploaded the files to some free web space i have with telewest.

Thanks for the comments on my photo's. lets see some of your shots....?

Well, that's a nice shot and I like the glow you put on it to bring out the reflection. It's a bit big for this forum though.

I was referring to actual 'dimensions' Mr Bald. I'm using the standard 1024x768 (at work) resolution and half to scroll up and sideways to look at your 'entire' pics. I can take the image in a lot better when the whole thing is showing at once even if it's tiny. If I had checked this at home I wouldn't have said a word as I'm running 1600x1200 there.

But I like that 'rail' pic, although I would like to have seen it without the shadow too. And yes BW pics are still amazing.......just look at any Ansel Adams picture and you'll renew your love for them.

Use the Photo Sharing section when you do so that everyone can check them out!!

I am really impressed with you macro pics, particularly with the blubell and the dandelion seed head. What settings did you use? I have a G3 and have been, not very successfully to take some pics of the Marguarite? - big daisy. :)
