Right then, for the bluebell i took a number of shots to get the right one, (these flash cards are great) i found that the flash was too bright so i used the built in nd filter and lowerd the flash out put but still kept it at f8 for good sharness.
For the dandilion seeds, (which was set up in my kitchen) i rested it one of little girls barbie doll toy boots tp prop it up, it was nice and sunny so could bounce some light back into it with a piece of tin foil. Bare in mind though all these close-ups are taken without a tripod. But i hope to a benbo trecker soon, i'm hooked on this macro stuff and want to be able to more but need the stability.

I am really impressed with you macro pics, particularly with the blubell and the dandelion seed head. What settings did you use? I have a G3 and have been, not very successfully to take some pics of the Marguarite? - big daisy.
