It's not going to cost more to repair than to buy a new one. So above what percentage of the current purchase price would it be too much to pay to repair it? 20%? 40%? 50%? 5DmkII :: EF 24-105/4L IS :: EF 85/1.8 :: EF 70-200/2.8L IS :: EF 100/2.8L IS macro (coming soon!)

Hold both pieces together and rub them back and forth like you're trying to start a fire. After about 4 minutes both pieces should start melding together. Because you are working at the molecule level the bond will be strong and seamless. The trick here however is to make sure you are rubbing the pieces the way you want them to bond.
