Spider identification

To you arachnophiles, can you identify this spider? It looks like a hermit crab. It's about 1/2" in length and was photographed in the woods close to the Kentucky River.

I actually figured out what it is, a gasteracantha cancriformis (external link), a kind of orb spider. I found it in the woods along the KY River.

That's one beautiful spider!

Do you maybe have some more photos of that little guy? A few more shots from above would be nifty considering his back colors and shape.
