Nice shot! Looks like the focus may have been on the birds back and not the eye. I was able to shrpen it up a little.

Next time I go to the zoo I will have to see what kind of bird it is. I have taken many pictures of it but always forget to get the name.

Thanks for editing the picture, you did a good job. I get nervous when I see a good shot I can make and then don't think about where I am focusing.

The feather detail is incredible. Nice edit--the original photo was slightly soft in the eye/beak region.

May I ask what program you used to sharpen the photo. I have Photoshop Elements 7 but couldn't sharpen it like you did.

Photoshop Elements 5. If I remember I ran it through Noise ninja (this does some sharpening) and then unsharp mask.

Thanks for the info. I will try it myself through 7 and see if I can come close to what you did. I sure and learning a lot from you guys-thanks for all the help.
