For those who has Amazon prime, currently their price is at $74 which is only $3 more than onsale (when includes shipping).

As far as I can tell they are. The hologram on the outside of the box appears as the one on the real Canon box, not the counterfeit one shown next to it in the battery sticky on the Accessories forum.

Also, all the instructions and the sticker on the battery are the same as on my other two Canon batteries bought at B&H. The fake ones have a different label and strange, generic instructions.

Additionally, the battery registers with an appropriate serial number in my 5D2, along with the other two batteries.

That's the most I can say.

I just bought an extra battery from Amazon. Now all I need is the Camera! EVERYONE is sold out of the 5D kits with a 24-105. (everyone with a reasonable price and rating, that is)

Yes, just got mine today, and it's charging up right now in the Canon charger just fine!

Further, battery changed and in camera, it acts just as the battery which came with the camera.

No doubt, it's legit. And if it's not, it would be a 100% copy!

I checked them, onsale.com, on resellerratings.com and there is a large amount of unfavorable feedback on them. Those of you that purchased them in this thread, your thoughts?

I had no issues with them. It was all good, and I wouldn't see a problem ordering from them again.

I had one experience with them, which included a complicated request to customer service, and all went well. The battery is genuine by as many measures as I know.

update: The battery can't be seen by the camera. Returned.

My order of the "Canon Equivalent LP-E6 Replacement Battery" from Diamondback has arrived. When I tried to charge it with the original charger, the light on the charger wont lights up like it does when it charges the original Canon LP-E6. I stopped proceeding in afraid of damaging the charger. On the other hand, if the light wont light up, how would I know when the battery is fully charged? I'm sending email to Diamondback with these questions. Will report back.
