Let's add this up:

Person has a lens for sale on Cragslist

It's really cool

I use it a lot

works perfectly on a 40D--except it doesn't

and won't barter because "this lens still makes me money"

So why is it that you are selling it, again?

I think that ad made me feel stupider than that guy because I had no idea there was a Moscow in Idaho.

Selling it because he wants money to supplement a better lens? One that the aperture can work on his 40D perhaps? And doesn't want to barter because he needs the cash to get the lens he's looking for, and not a door stop in the meantime?

I fail to see the issue. If the lenses are as described, what is your concern or problem with him selling them?

I think you should re-name this thread "How to look stupid by posting on a forum calling someone on Craigslist stupid."

Yeah I'm not really seeing a big issue with his post. I think he meant to say he won't haggle on the price. Other than that, it seemed okay to me...

Seems to me some of you need to spend time with Spock getting logic lessons. If you "use it a lot" and "won't barter because it still makes you money" doesn't that imply that maybe you should just keep the thing?

Nope. I use my car a lot, but it's for sale because I want to buy another one. Like I said before, by barter, I think he meant haggle.
