I've only recently gotten into photography but have found myself drawn to urban/street photography and B&W in particular. I took this shot this morning on U Street in Northwest DC. This guy seemed to personify the neighborhood.

Anyway, this is my first time sharing a photo on the forum... C&C very much welcome. Thanks!

I know this post is a couple of weeks old but I just stumbled across it. The subject is really compelling...serious potential, but for me the flowers and signage "Fresh flowers" etc. becomes a distraction, taking away from the subject. Otherwise nice exposure.

sunbeast- thanks for the feedback. I'll try with a verticle crop to get rid of the flowers and see how that looks.
