Is it just me or did the fonts on the site get turned to all bold?

Just recently, I noticed that the fonts here on the site are bold now. Not sure why?

I don't think it's me or my browser, but thought I'd ask why. Can we get it changed back? Bold is meant to place emphasis on something... not everything should have emphasis.

Nothing is bold for me except what needs to be bold. You must accidently have changed font in your browser.

This can seem to happen if you accidentaly increase your font size.

Depending on your operating system and browser the key strokes may differ.

But try "Ctrl +" or "Ctrl -"

Hmmmpph. Weird. It's only this forum that does this for me.

I'll see if I can't figure it out. Thanks!

Pete, it's not my font size - that's fine.

Also, if I use the quick reply box, the font is normal when I type in it. If I use the post reply button which uses the WYSIWYG post box, the font is BOLD.

Here is what I see:

Ok, that's weird.

Try clearing your internet cache.

Ok, I've restarted, cleared caches, etc... checked my font settings in FF 3.5 etc.. nothing.

I then tried viewing the site in Safari (same problem and I wasn't even logged in). I'm wondering it's like there is an orphaned strong tag or b tag somewhere (there isn't I looked) - so wondering if the CSS for something that is bold isn't being inherited by other child elements.

Here's Safari:

You can see above, that the quoted text looks like it's supposed to. Uber Weird. It's driving me nuts though.. lol

The font definitely looks too large, in the example you posted in Post 5, if you look at the date under your avatar the edge of your avatar ends where the "y" of "May" is, but on my screen the edge of your avatar ends at the edge of the "2" of "2009".
Must be the font size making it look bold. It certainly is odd.

To the best of my knowledge, you are the only one reporting this problem. That would seem to localize it to your machine/browser.

Weird.

Or as you might see it:

LOL

Okay... it must be me. Damn.

Not sure what would be causing this. I am a web developer by trade, so something locally on my machine, would affect more than just this site. I look at typography all day long, so if something had changed locally, I'd be seeing it with all of my own websites, but that is not the case here.

I'm not using any custom stylesheets, so it's not something specific on my end and with this website. I'm stumped. It happened within the last two days. I just thought it was a stylesheet update at POTN. Now, I guess not.

Wish I could figure it out, because it's driving me crazy. I hate bold fonts, especially when used like this. I guess I'll do some more case studies and see if I can narrow it down to find out what's causing it.

Thanks ya'll.

But try "Ctrl +" or "Ctrl -"

Try Ctrl + 0 (zero)

(may not help, tho. When I increase my font size in FF, it gets bigger but not bolder)
