We have a train line only a few streets away from us. This morning we heard the very distinct sound of a steam whistle blowing it's heart out. A quick rally of the family into the car to get to the tracks, just in time to see this steam train trundle into town. Does anyone know what model of train it is?

Just had a look at the company website. They have quite a few locos in use, stored and under restoration....

Exposure Time (1 / Shutter Speed) = 1/40 second = 0.025 second

Were you trying for some motion blur? I don't think I'd have the guts to do that the first time I saw one of these. ;)

Heh Frankly I was amazed I was able to get anything useful. It was a mad rush driving the family to the tracks, leaping out of the car and taking a few shots. I didn't get much of a chance to check the settings. :)
