Hi all,
I've been reading your forum for the past month or so and this is my first post.
I'm on a budget of $1k max and I think I have narrowed my choices down to either the Tamron 70-200mm f/2.8 or Canon EF 70-200mm f/4.0L
My goals for this lens are: To get a quality all round 200mm zoom lens that will take great images and good images if I use a teleconverter.
I spend most of my time photographing various birds and plants on my property, baseball games, and wildlife / scenic stuff on family vacations.
I would like to use a teleconverter on this lens to get more reach when needed. I would like to walk around with the lens and have reasonable reach without the bulk of a Bigma or other super telephoto.
So my question is am I going to be disappointed with either of these lens for my stated goals? Are there better options out there that I'm missing? Which would you guys choose?
Thanks in advance.
