Hi I have a canon powershot G6, and when i turn it on the view screen start up photo and then starts to turn white. can any one help me and tell the problem.

lefturn99, thanks for reply, just turned the camera on and used it and all seams fine now:o. but as i said if i turned it on the view screen would fade away and turn white, and had the camera in p mode. and it has done this in the past and then worked ok after that.

Next time put your hand over the lens and see if it turns dark. If it doesn't, she's dying a slow death. I learned a lot from my G6, but you would be amazed how much newer cameras have improved. 6D, 5D Mk III, 60D, EOS M, Gear List
