Great compositions! Are you sure you're are a photo newbie?

If I had to comment, then it pertains to #4 and #6. In particular #4 - it's so tempting with all the sliders and buttons in the software that it is so easy to overcook RAW images - the saturation of colors and heightened contrast of the picture remind me of postcards sold at souvenir stores.

I'm discovering digital postprocessing as I speak and I find myself overdoing it too.

Yeah, it's like a cartoon. I have to stop relying so much on post processing.

Definitely a newbie to the DSLR world. I just bought a used 450D back in April this year and I guess I've been looking at a lot of pictures from better photographers and reading up on the basics.

#5 is totally a scene off a movie.. its a movie with Heather Locklier.. forgot the name.. but I've seen that spot before!
