Laura is heading off to college in a month, so I asked she help with my portfolio. This shot used OCF, one B800 about 10' cam right, shot thru umbrella.

Nice shot, but I would crop in a little closer on her. There is too much space above her head. Also, watch your white balance - she looks a little too magenta.

I'll check the WB...although that looks pretty darn close to her real skin tone, at least on the two monitors I see it on. She just got back from a vacation in Jamaica and has a good tan. Will try a different crop too. Thanks!

Ok...I adjusted the WB (from the whites of her eyes)...it did make a little difference...I like it better! I also cropped as you suggested....that too I like...Thanks!

Much better! I would still take out a bit more red. Even though her skin might be that color, prospective clients (that don't know her) will notice it and think you don't know how to expose properly!

The second is definitely much better, she still looks red though, like she is slightly sunburned.

Yeah sorry what does TFCD stand for.

TFCD = Time For CD. A model and photographer trade their time respectively for a copy of the photos on CD, rather than exchanging money for the modeling and/or photography services.
